What Does It Mean If Your Pump is Self-priming?

Image
Self-priming pumps are a special type of fluid pump. They are designed for fluid movement and transfer, which increases the efficiency of many pumping applications.   How self-priming pumps work Self-priming pumps  are specially designed centrifugal pumps. These pumps are designed with a housing that "submerges" the internal pump. When the pump is opened, the impeller rotates, creating a low pressure area. The liquid inside is then pushed upward by atmospheric pressure onto the suction pump, which forces air through the pump. When the air and water mix, the liquid is expelled from the casing, thus igniting the flow rate. When to use a self-priming pump? Self-priming centrifugal pumps can be used in many applications due to their versatility; they are suitable for some of the most demanding applications, including ► Water supply and disposal ► General industrial and manufacturing uses ► Chemical and mining applications ►Food and beverage ►Agriculture and irrigation   Why s...
